3-Month Reflection in Medical Device Sales
Curious about life as a new hire in Medical Device Sales?
I've spent the last 3 months in this field and I'm eager to share my journey with you!
During my initial weeks, I felt like I was drinking from a fire hose – a common phrase I heard during networking but never truly understood until now. It's a whirlwind of information – product training, account management, system operations, reporting procedures, and much more. However, as time passed, I gained a better understanding of everything.
Here are my 5 tips for newcomers entering the industry:
- Focus on What You Can Control: Many things will be beyond your control each day. Take a deep breath and focus on managing what you can.
- Don't Take Things Personally: In high-stress situations, emotions can run high. Don't let occasional outbursts affect you personally; brush them off and stay focused.
- Be Creative in Client Engagement: With challenges like Covid, finding new ways to engage with clients creatively is crucial.
- Trust the Process: Success takes time. Invest in actions today that will yield benefits in the future.
- Maintain Your Network: Networking is key to learning from experienced professionals and building relationships that open doors to new opportunities.
Final Thoughts
Reflecting on my journey, I've cherished every moment of the last 3 months in Medical Device Sales. It's an exciting and rewarding career path that continues to inspire and challenge me. I'm thrilled for all aspiring professionals to join this dynamic field!
